Appeals

If you are not satisfied with the results you had in a previous case, be it civil or criminal, you have the right to appeal the decision. If you were the plaintiff in a civil case and feel that you did not receive the damages you deserved you may appeal for a higher amount. On the other hand, if you were the defendant and feel you have been obligated to pay more than fair in damages your appeal can also be heard. The arguments for these types of appeals must be very solid as it is difficult to reverse a ruling that has already been made in a court of law. If you feel you have a case please call us for a consultation.

Appeals can also be heard for rulings in a criminal case. One type of appeal is when evidence is found at a later date that proves the innocence of the convicted party. There are also appeals that try to change the very laws that led to the conviction in a case. These cases are complex and difficult because they try to change the fabric of the law system that is in place. If you feel that you have been wrongly or unjustly convicted of a crime we can provide you with legal advice and counsel.
